Burnham
and Highbridge pupils win Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon

Dozens
of children from across the district have competed in the first
Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon, held in Burnham-On-Sea this week.
The
event was organised by Burnham Swim and Sports Academy and saw
over 60 youngsters competing in a range of running and swimming
events.
The
team from Highbridge's King Alfred School won the event while
Burnham's St Andrew's School was the runner-up.
Organiser
Sarah Cox Conklin said the biathlon had such a great success that
it would likely become an annual fixture.
"Special
thanks go to all the head teachers, coaches, administrators and
students for supporting the first annual Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon
and many congratulations to King Alfred, St Andrews and
Hugh Sexey for achieving the titles of the top three schools for
the combined sports of running and swimming," she said.
