Motorist arrested after car flips over in Burnham-On-Sea street

A motorist was arrested following an accident on Burnham-On-Sea seafront early on Sunday morning (October 14th) when a car flipped onto its roof.

Residents in Seaview Road were woken at 2.45am to the sound of a loud collision involving a Peugeot.

One of those was Paula Green, who told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We heard a loud noise and looked outside to see a car on its roof in the street. The ambulance arrived very quickly and the police followed soon after."

The man was left shaken, but was not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

Burnham Police confirmed that a man had been arrested following the incident on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
