Ewe lucky animal! Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescue stuck sheep
were the scenes in Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday evening (May 30th)
when firefighters were called to rescue a sheep stuck in a water-filled
appliance from Burnham and a water rescue team from Bridgwater
was sent to a field next to Ben Travers Way at 6.45pm.
passing walker had spotted the distressed animal stuck in the
water and called the emergency services.
Fire service spokesman Paul Slaven told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
sheep, which was tangled up in brambles, was rescued from the
water-filled ditch by crews using dry suits and a ladder."
fire service says there is a risk that people will put their own
lives into danger by attempting to reach animals if they are not
