Mayor and MP back ‘Shop For A Cure’ fundraiser in aid of cancer charity

-

A fundraising shopping event will be held in Berrow on Sunday (April 22nd) in aid of local charity Somerset Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The ‘Shop For A Cure’ event will be held in Berrow Village Hall from 10.30am until 3pm.

Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor and Mayoress Michael and Maria Clarke will open the event and MP Tessa Munt will also be popping in during the day.

“We will have 22 stalls displaying an assortment of items from Jamie at Home, jewellery, sock monkeys, nappy cakes, Purr-fect Pottery, Home Grown Flowers and Plants, ceramic decoration, handmade soaps and more,” organiser Holly Macbeth told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“There will be lots of great ideas for gifts – which you can’t buy in the shops – plus beauty treatments and even vintage ice cream on a trike!”

Entertainment will also include inflatables for children plus a visit by ‘Swish’ the clown.

Beauty treatments, such as mini-facials, pedicures, manicures and eyebrow shaping, will also be available and should be booked in advance by calling 07912259190 between 6-8pm or by email here. Entry will be free.
