Highbridge motorists fined after blocking access to emergency crews

-

Two motorists have been fined by police after causing an obstruction to emergency services in Highbridge.

Police acted on complaints regarding parking in Southwell Crescent where two vehicles had to be removed.

“These vehicles would have blocked access to emergency vehicles if they had been required, putting lives at risk,” said Neighbourhood Beat Manager Ian Bartlett of Burnham Police.

“The motorists were given a £30 fixed penalty fine and a £150 release fee plus vehicle storage fees of £25 per night,” he added.
