Motorist
in protest over lack of speed signs along Burnham road

An
angry motorist has installed home-made signs along a Burnham-On-Sea
road to draw attention to an apparent lack of speed warnings.
The
signs, pictured, were installed along Love Lane on Wednesday by
an anonymous motorist to raise awareness of the matter.
The
signs state: "I'll let you know it's 30mph cos SDC (Sedgemoor
District Council) can't be bothered to."
"They'd
rather fine you £60 for doing 37mph. Where's the sign! Where's
the justice!"
A
council spokesman said that the roadside signs are overseen by
Somerset County Council and claimed that several are in place
in the area.
