Tessa Munt calls in at Internet taster sessions in Burnham-On-Sea
Burnham-On-Sea's
MP Tessa Munt dropped in at an event in the town to promote Internet
use last week.
Volunteers
at Burnham's BAY Centre in Cassis Close ran free Internet taster
sessions to mark 'UK Online Week' and welcomed 22 visitors who
were shown how to get more out of life online.
The
centre's ICT volunteer, Mike Lang, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Tessa
said she was delighted to see us again on her third visit. The
Internet is an essential part of modern life for all ages, and
she greatly appreciates the work we put into our regular classes."
"The
BAY Centre is a designated UK Online centre and we are able to
start vistors on a learning journey. Whether they want email,
internet shopping, or just want to keep up with news online, our
team of volunteers are patient and helpful."
