The centuries-old tradition of Somerset wassailing – when good health is wished on apple crops for the coming year – is to be held near Burnham-On-Sea this weekend.

Burnham Rotary Club and Rich’s Cider Farm are teaming up to hold a ceremony on Saturday 14th January from 7pm.

The event will include entertainment from The Mangled Wurzels and Bob Darch, plus cider and other refreshments, with proceeds going to local charities.

To be held at Rich’s Cider Farm in Watchfield, tickets are now on sale priced at £9.50 each and are available by calling 01278 783651.
