Weather warning for Burnham-On-Sea area as heavy rain is forecast

Residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area have been warned that heavy rain will cause flooding and difficult driving conditions on Sunday morning (November 4th).

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for Somerset and much of southern Britain, as pictured, as the severe conditions are predicted between 3am and 9am on Sunday.

"Heavy rain is expected to spread across parts of southern, central and eastern England through Sunday morning," said a Met Office spokesman. "The public should be aware that the rain, falling on already wet ground, may lead to some minor flooding from either surface water or rivers."
