Early warning of heavy rain and strong winds issued for Burnham area

The Met Office has issued an early warning of heavy rain and strong winds in the Burnham-On-Sea area this Friday (December 14th).

A yellow weather alert has been issued for the region shown here from midnight until 9pm on Friday.

A total of 15-25mm of rain will fall during the day along with winds gusting over 50mph.

"Heavy rain is expected to spread northeastwards during Friday, to affect parts of southwest England. The public should be aware of the possibility of flooding and disruption to travel," says the Met Office.
