winners of Burnham and Highbridge's annual Christmas lights competition
received their prizes and awards on Monday evening (January 9th).
councillors Ken Smout, Dennis Davey, Pat Burge and Tom Nicholls
visited dozens of displays across the towns before picking the
winners in the run-up to Christmas.
Burnham-On-Sea, the best overall house award went to Mike Perrin
of 7 Wilde Close while the runner-up was Keith Mitchell of 20
award for the best group of illuminated houses was won by the
homes of Trinity Close, whose display appeared on national TV,
as featured here.
Highbridge, the Best Individual House award went to J Day of 54
Poplar Estate, while the runner-up was R. Gribbon of 3 Donston
Road. The best group of Highbridge houses was won by 75 and 76
place in the best-decorated business category was won by the Secret
World charity shop of Victoria Street, Burnham while the runner-up
was Central Hair Studio of Abingdon Street.
