Proposals
to expand Yeo Valley's Highbridge premises to go on show
Major
proposals to expand a Highbridge business premises will go on
show to nearby residents next week.
Yeo
Valley is inviting residents and local businesses to attend an
open event on Wednesday 24th October, between 3pm and 7pm, at
Isleport Business Park, Lawrence Close in Highbridge when the
expansion plans will go on show.
"The
purpose of this event is to give people the opportunity hear about
a proposed expansion of Yeo Valleys distribution centre
on the Isleport Business Park," a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"Demand
for Yeo Valleys products has dramatically increased over
recent years, which has not only put pressure on their production
sites in the South West but also on their distribution centre
at Isleport Business Park."
"Their
proposed plan is for an expansion at this distribution centre,
enabling them to improve both the storage and transport of their
products across the UK."
"Yeo Valley does not envisage any impact on local residents,
businesses or the wider environment."
However,
it says residents who are concerned about the plans or would like
to find out more about the expansion can attend the open event.
The company's project planning team will be available to answer
questions and log any comments which will then be fed into the
planning process.
This
is a drop-in open event so businesses and residents are welcome
to come anytime between 3pm - 7pm. Contact Michelle Tuxford by
email or
call 01278 772816 if you wish to attend.
