A motorcyclist suffered ‘serious’ injuries in a collision on the A38 near Burnham-On-Sea this morning (Wednesday).

Police were called to Biddisham shortly before 7.30am where the motorbike and a coach had collided, as pictured.

“A male motorcyclist suffered what is believed to be a serious leg injury in the collision, but the incident was not understood to be life-threatening,” police spokeswoman Claire Stanley told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Officers diverted traffic around the scene, causing slow traffic during the rush hour while recovery of the bike went ahead.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call police via the non-emergency telepone number 101.
