Pensioner air-lifted to hospital from village near Burnham-On-Sea

A pensioner was air-lifted to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack near Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday afternoon (April 4th).

The Dorset and Somerset air ambulance was called to the village of Mark, as pictured here, after several residents raised the alarm.

The yellow helicopter landed on open fields next to Church Street at lunchtime where the elderly man was taken onboard.

Dorset and Somerset air ambulance spokeswoman Tracey Bartrum told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The air ambulance was called to a male patient who had suffered a cardiac arrest.”

“The helicopter landed in the centre of Mark at 1.02pm and left at 1.22pm to convey the patient to Musgrove Park in Taunton, where it arrived at 1.35pm.”
