Free guided wildlife walks get underway at Highbridge’s Apex Park

-

Wildlife enthusiasts gathered for the first of two special nature walks at Highbridge’s Apex Park on Thursday – with the next planned for tomorrow (Saturday, May 18th).

Sedgemoor District Council organised a moth walk, led by John Bebbington of the Somerset Moth Group, which included a night-walk around the park to see what moths could be found.

On Saturday (18th May) a second event will be held when a free family-friendly guided walk, led by members of the Somerset Ornithological Society, takes place.

The walk will explore the varied range of birds that can be seen in the different habitats around Apex park.

It will start at 10am at the Apex Park Information Centre and visitors are asked to bring walking shoes/boots and clothing appropriate for the weather plus binoculars or a telescope if you have them.
