Six children’s Splash n’ Dash races were also well supported, with over 75 youngsters taking part. Full results here.

Burnham runner Arthur Gilbert, 92, who is the world’s oldest triathlete, handed out the awards to the children at the end of the races.

The academy’s Martin Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a very chilly morning, but we were pleased with how it went and thank everyone for supporting the event and making it another success.”
