Over 140 runners of all ages took part in Burnham-On-Sea’s autumn aquathlon on Sunday morning (October 13th).

Children took part in ‘splash and dash’ races on the town’s beach, watched by crowds of spectators.

And the adults competed in a 750m swim at Burnham Swim and Sports Academy followed by a 7.5km run along the seafront.

Organiser Martin Rogers from Burnham Swim and Sports Academy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The event was a great success, with over 40 entries in the adults races and 100 youngsters in the childrens’ event.”
