A fundraising quiz is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday (October 8th) to raise money for the town’s rescue hovercraft charity BARB.
The fun-packed event – which is open to all – is being held at the Dunstan House pub in Love Lane from 8pm and is being run by Burnham and Berrow Medical Centre.
Organiser Dr Rachel Mallick, one of the GPs at the Burnham centre, said: “Burnham and Berrow Medical Centre is incredibly grateful to BARB for their support in taking doctors and nurses through the snow in their 4×4 vehicles over the past few winters and, consequently, we are arranging this quiz evening as a thank you.”
“The evening is open to all and includes as an optional fixed price, a meal before the quiz, at 7pm (with the quiz starting soon after 8pm).”
“The aim of the evening, apart from having lots of fun, is to raise funds to express our appreciation for BARB’s time and trouble.”
“We are also very grateful to the landlord of the Dunstan for allowing the pub’s car park to be used by the surgery staff during our recent building work.”
