Teenager hurt after rocks fall onto beach besides Brean Down

-

A teenager was taken to hospital after being struck by a falling rock while walking along the beach next to Brean Down on Saturday (April 6th).

An ambulance and Coastguards from Burnham-On-Sea were called to Brean beach at 4.50pm.

The girl was hurt when a goat perched on the cliffs sent a rock falling onto her from above.

“The 13 year-old suffered a cut to her head, but fortunately the injury was not as serious as first thought and she was taken in an ambulance to the minor injuries unit at Burnham Hospital,” Burnham Coastguard Officer Steve Bird told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
