Christmas market raises £500 for Berrow Village Hall funds

-

The first local Christmas market of this year’s festive season was held in Berrow on Sunday (October 27th).

Crowds of visitors flocked to the annual Berrow Christmas Market, which was held from noon until 3pm in Berrow Village Hall.

Organised by The Friends of Berrow Village Hall, the event raised hundreds of pounds towards the building’s upkeep and continued improvements.

Co-organiser Lynn Smith told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a great day with a steady stream of visitors throughout the afternoon.”

“While we are still counting up how much was raised, we believe it was around £500.”

Dozens of different stalls were set up, selling a large variety of goods and early Christmas presents.

The organisers were also cooking all-day Full English breakfasts during the event, which proved popular with visitors.
