Record crowds flocked to Brent Knoll’s annual summer fete on Saturday (June 8th) as bright sunshine boosted the turnout.

A traditional line-up of music, games and stalls attracted large numbers of visitors to Brent Knoll Green.

There were also performances by Brent Knoll School’s popular dancing group and the Chalice Morris Men.

“We’ve had a huge crowd today – it was great to see everyone enjoying the fun on such a superb afternoon,” John Page, Chairman of the village fete committee, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

A new feature this year was a crazy golf course at the top of the green, which was operating alongside children’s sports, a coconut shy and other games.

This year’s event had a fancy dress theme with the topic of ‘heroes’ and several children and adults came along dressed as their favourite characters.
