Long waiting lists to join Brownies prompt launch of Burnham unit

A brand new Brownies group is being formed in Burnham-On-Sea due to rising demand at other units in the area.

The new group - called 5th Burnham Brownies - will formally launch in January and will be aimed at girls aged 7-10.

Vicki Hooper, Guides district commissioner for the Burnham area, said: "There are long waiting lists at other units in our area so a Burnham group is very much needed."

"The new group will meet on Mondays at Burnham Methodist Church and will include activities such as craft making, games, outings and badges."

"We expect the group will fill up quickly and would advise interested parents to contact us via the website."
