Community groups across the Burnham-On-Sea area are being offered free Srping bulbs to add a splash of colour to the area.

Sedgemoor District Council has this week said it will be giving away thousands of bulbs to community groups as well as local parish and town councils.

“Sedgemoor is offering local community groups the free bulbs to plant themselves, in order to make the district even more beautiful in the Spring” said council spokeswoman Claire Faun.

“There is a limited supply of woodland mix daffodil bulbs up for grabs. The bags are 25 kilos in weight and should provide a lovely display next spring.”

Community groups or parishes can register an interest by email to clean.surroundings@sedgemoor.gov.uk or by calling 01278 435388 before the closing date of Friday 4th October 2013.

Bulbs will be allocated according to interest, one bag per organisation, and made available either to collect from the Colley Lane depot or delivered direct from the week commencing 14th October 2013.
