Four men arrested by police in Highbridge after car break-ins

Four men have been arrested in Highbridge following a series of car break-ins in the town at the weekend.

Police swooped on Clyce Road at 1.30am on Sunday (September 8th) after being alerted by residents that a group of men was acting suspiciously.

"When police arrived, the men drove off in a black Audi and were stopped by police nearby," police spokesman Simon Whitby told

"Four men - aged between 19-33 - and all from the Bristol area, were arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles."

Two of the men appeared in court this week and have been remanded in custody while the other two were bailed.
