One hurt as crash near Burnham-On-Sea leaves car on its side

Emergency services from Burnham-On-Sea were called to a car on its side in Wedmore early on Saturday (September 7th).

The fire service received a request from the ambulance service to attend a single vehicle collision on the B3139 at Wedmore at 12.45am.

Two fire crews from Cheddar and Burnham were sent to the scene, along with two further appliance from Weston.

“Crews confirmed this was a single vehicle collision with a vehicle on its side but no persons trapped,” said a spokesman.

“One male casualty was in the hands of the ambulance service.”

“Crews struggled to make the vehicle safe due to its precarious position.”
