extended for Burnham and Highbridge Carnival Queen contest
in the Burnham-On-Sea area have a final chance to enter this year's
competiton to find Highbridge and Burnham-On-Sea Carnival Queen
entry period has been extended to allow last-minute entries up
until September 4th for contestants.
The competition is open to entrants aged 16 years and over who
must live within five miles of either Highbridge or Burnham.

The organisers are also searching for Princesses, with the entry
form for those roles here.
winners will be picked at a pageant to be held this Friday (6th
September) from 7pm at Burnham Holiday Village.
entrants will be asked to answer questions about their hobbies
and interests and show an awareness of the community, plus a knowledge
and understanding of the district.
have had a good response so far but wanted to give youngsters
who may have been away over the summer holiday period a chance
to enter, so the deadline has been extended until this Wednesday,
September 4th," ," one of the organisers, Linda Bullimore,
added: "The Carnival Queen will be chosen as an ambassador
for the Carnival as well as the precincts of Highbridge and Burnham.
It is hoped that the Carnival Queen will assist with community
cohesion projects in the area over the year."
pageant evening will include entertainment from the Lucy Gunter
Dance School and a Katy Perry tribute. Sponsors are still being
sought for the event.
