Final tickets are on sale for a fundraising choral concert taking place in Burnham-On-Sea this evening (Friday, July 19th) that will feature three groups of local singers.

‘Coastline Singers’ together with ‘Burnham on Song’ and ‘The Siobhan Johnson Singers Junior Choir’ are joining together for the performance in Our Lady’s and The English Martyr’s Catholic Church in Burnham.

The event, which starts at 7pm, is being held in aid of The Highbridge Festival of the Arts.

Tickets, priced £5, are on sale from The Toy Cupboard in Pier Street, Burnham or by calling Mike on 01278 785993 or from members of the choirs. The cost includes a buffet.

“We met at the Highbridge Festival in March where we all performed together, therefore, Mary Lawrence from The Coastline Singers and I decided to join forces for a concert,” said organiser Siobhan Johnson.

“We will all be singing our own repetoire of songs together with a few all together. We have all been practising separately and will join together on the night to perform a few songs together.”

“I think it is important for local groups to be able to work alongside one another and create a friendly relationship between the choirs.”

The evening’s performances will include songs from Abba, The Beach Boys, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Les Miserables and The Military Wives.
