-

Floral tributes have been placed at the spot where motorist Patrick Barr was killed in Highbridge on Sunday evening.

Bouquets of flowers have been attached to the railings in Church Street where the tragic two-car crash occurred.

Local man Patrick Barr, 46, pictured, who was known to his friends as ‘Paddy’, died in the crash near the junction of Grange Avenue.

Police have made a fresh appeal for witnesses to the 8.20pm accident to come forward.

A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The incident involved two vehicles – a Honda Civic and a Volvo V70. The driver of the Honda, a 46-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.”

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police collision investigation unit by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111,” added the spokesman.

Traffic was diverted along alternative routes while crews were at the scene in Church Street, as pictured.
