Burnham-On-Sea Community Centre to hold open day on Sunday

Burnham-On-Sea Community Centre will be holding an open day on Sunday (May 19th) when its facilities will go on show.

The special open day at the centre in Berrow Road will be held from 2pm-4pm and will give visitors a chance to see how it serves the community and learn more about the groups that operate there, including The Friends of the Centre and members of the committee.

Ken Hindle, Chairman of Burnham and Highbridge Community Association, which runs the centre, told "It should be a really informative event for prospective users of the centre."

"This building is the centre of the community for many people in Burnham. It is home to 60 groups, attracting more than 1,500 visitors every month."

The centre in Berrow Road has been given a new lease of life with a number of improvements, including enhancements to the kitchens, toilets and the creation of a new community hub over recent years.
