Country and western enthusiasts raise £600 for Burnham-On-Sea RNLI

-

Country and western enthusiasts in Brean have raised £600 for the RNLI during their annual festival over the past fortnight.

Fundraisers from Burnham-On-Sea RNLI have visited the clubhouse at Sandyglade Caravan Park in the village to collect the funds raised by holidaying western enthusiasts.

Whilst there, fundraiser Sandra King (right) was invited to take part, with the RNLI flag, in a ‘trilogy ceremony’.

She was presented with the funds, which had been raised during several raffles and pub games.

Organiser Alan Applon told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We always raise money for charity during our regular western week holiday, and decided that this year the RNLI would be our area of focus.”
