Burnham’s Marine Cove Gardens will play host to some unusual visitors on Bank Holiday Monday (27th May).

Avon Owls of Winscombe will be making a special visit to raise awareness of their birds.

“The non-profit making organisation will be appearing in the garden from noon until 5pm, weather permitting,” a spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“For a small donation visitors will have the chance to hold the birds and have their photos taken, with proceeds going to the Avon Owls.”

In the gardens itself the Community Gardener Jacqui Strong and the Friends of Marine Cove are close to changing over the formal flower beds to edible crops.
