Boxing Day dog walk to be held at Highbridge's Apex Park

Dog owners in Burnham-On-Sea are being encouraged to take part in a Boxing Day fundraising walk.

Highbridge's Apex Park will be hosting the 'Festive Fun Wag and Walk' in aid of Canine Partners.

The event, which will start at 2pm, will be held for dog lovers to walk off their Christmas excesses while raising money.

Canine Partners is a registered charity that helps disabled people to enjoy greater independence and a better quality of life with the help of specially-trained dogs.

Organisers Nick and Carole Pope say the event will provide half hour or hour walks around Apex Park.

"Registration is a suggested minimum £5 per person with all funds going to Canine Partners," said Nick.

"If you don’t have a dog you can still come along for a fun walk and if you can’t make it you can donate on the JustGiving Page at"
