Arrests made by police after drugs seized in raids in Highbridge

Two people have been arrested by police following a series of drugs raids in Highbridge.

Officers executed drugs warrants at three properties in the town on Friday September 20th.

“One warrant was executed in Huntspill Road and two were executed in South Avenue,” police spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Cannabis was seized at each address and at one address pills and powder believed to be drugs were also seized.”

“These will be submitted for testing to find out what they are. Two people were arrested during the warrants.”

He added that the warrants were executed by officers from the neighbourhood policing team, response team and support group.

Police encourage anyone with information about drug dealing in the Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge area to call police on 101 or contact anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
