Burnham fire crews called to small blaze at Brean Golf Club

A fire in an outbuilding at Brean Golf Club was tackled by Burnham-On-Sea fire crews last night (Saturday).

Two fire appliances from Burnham, two from Weston and a water bowser from Bridgwater were called to the incident on the site of Brean Leisure Park just before 10pm.

"Crews found a small fire involving the timber cladding of an office outbuilding measuring twenty metres by four metres," a spokesman told

"Some of the cladding was damaged by the fire, which was extinguished by fire crews using one hose reel jet."

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
