Walkers along Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront enjoyed this spectacular golden sunset last night (Sunday) as forecasters predict the current calm conditions are set to continue this week.

Burnham experienced average temperatures in the autumn and has seen a mild start to the winter so far with no snowfall and few hard frosts.

Brent Knoll weather enthusiast Steve Baggs said the average temperature in the Burnham area for Autumn 2013 was 11.8C, a normal figure.

However, thanks to a soggy October, the total Autumn rainfall was 286.6mm which was wetter than average, but not as wet as Autumn 2012 when the area saw 325.8mm.

The average temperature for November in the Burnham area was 7.6C, close to normal for the time of year, and total rainfall in the month was 86.8mm which was also within the normal range.
