A Brent Knoll youngster has impressed the judges of a national singing competition.

Gracie Wickens-Sweet has been given a ‘thumbs-up’ during the auditions for TeenStar, a new nationwide talent competition.

Along with other acts, Gracie has made it through to the regional final and will soon be performing at the live stages.

Gracie – who won last year’s Burnham and Highbridge Got Talent competition – is in the running to compete for a place in the national final at The O2 in London.

At the regional final, Gracie will go head to head alongside the best talent in the area. They’ll be performing in front of hundreds of audience members and a professional judging panel to win a place at the national grand final.

Chris Grayston, Events Coordinator for TeenStar, said: “We are looking to find an act that has something unique to offer, another Birdy that can go all the way, with both the ability to deliver a strong live performance but also potential to become a professional recording artist. There is so much talent out there I’m sure we can find that star again!”

TeenStar is a national talent competition searching for the UK’s best teens and pre-teens singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material.
