Council’s anger over seafront graffiti in Burnham-On-Sea

-

Burnham-On-Sea Town Council has this week hit out at vandals who have scrawled graffiti over part of the town’s sea wall.

Steam cleaning equipment will have to be used to remove the writing that has been daubed over the wall on the North Esplanade near Maddock’s Slade.

Town Clerk Denise Emery told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is very disappointing that a small minority of people are doing this.”

“It costs the council – and tax payers – money to remove graffiti, meaning that other services may not receive as much financial support.”

The Town Council is working with Sedgemoor District Council’s Clean Surroundings Team to get the graffiti removed over the next few days.
