A Highbridge woman has raised more than £500 for Children In Need by having her hair shaved off this week!

Gilly James-Parry, 56, had her locks removed during the fundraiser at Peter’s Hairdressers in Cross Street, Burnham on Thursday (November 7th).

“What better way to raise money and have a new head of hair – or a lack of it initially!” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“I have dyed my hair for over 30 years and don’t know the true colour of my hair, all I know is it isn’t the blonde that I have now. I felt like going back to my roots and wanted to something different for this great cause!”
