Council house tenants in Burnham area warm to winter donation

-

Tenants of Homes in Sedgemoor in the Burnham-On-Sea area are benefitting from Winter Warmth Packages.

Several tenants have been provided with new electric fan heaters and the money to run the equipment for 12 hours a day for three months.

The packages, which have been funded by a donation £1,400, were supplied through the Improving Your Communities Fund, and provided by the Jack Frost Appeal.

Chief Executive of Homes in Sedgemoor, Dawn Lang, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are pleased to be able to support the work of the Jack Frost Appeal and reach out to some of our residents who are most vulnerable to winter cold.”

“So many people have difficulty affording to heat their homes in winter, particularly with rising fuel bills.”

The Jack Frost Appeal helps those most vulnerable to winter cold, providing them with at least one warm and cosy room throughout the winter months.

Further information for tenants on how to deal with ever-increasing fuel bills is available on 01278 552400 or 0800 585360.
