surface of Burnham's jetty is repaired by council
storm-damaged surface of Burnham-On-Sea's jetty has been repaired
winds, combined with high autumn tides, sent large waves onto
the structure last month, as we featured
wardens found that part of the tarmac surface had been damaged
and washed away, as pictured below, and contractors were brought
in to repair it.
District Council, which maintains the structure, said the work
has been completed at a cost of £645.
jetty needed £80,000 of repairs several years ago when the
severely damaged following storms in 2007.
