Police have asked residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area to look out for this missing man who has absconded from prison and is thought to be in Somerset.

John Loveridge, 28, was sentenced to five years in prison in 2011 for offences including burglary and theft.

He absconded from a prison in Lincolnshire on Monday, February 11th and police believe he may now be in Somerset.

“It is believed that Loveridge may be in the Somerset area and members of the public are asked to remain vigilant,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“He is described as white; around 5ft 8 to 5ft 9inches tall, of a slim build, with short black hair and hazel coloured eyes.”

“He has a 4 inch scar on back of left hand, a tattoo stating ‘Stacey’ on his right arm. It is possible that he may have a beard or be clean shaven.”

Police have asked anyone who sees Loveridge or knows where he is is asked to call 999 immediately.
