Over 60 up-and-coming artists from across the Burnham-On-Sea area are exhibiting their work in the town’s Princess Theatre this week.

Art students from Years 10-13 at King Alfred School are displaying their work today (Saturday) during the exhibition, which is open from 10am-3pm and 6-9pm both days.

Louise Amato, Head of Art, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There is a range of fine and contemporary art, spanning from painting, printmaking and sculpture, to video, photography and installations on show. Some work is for sale and commissions are being taken for bespoke portraits.”

She added that it is the first time that The Princess has been used to host the exhibition and it is hoped the town centre venue will help to boost visitor numbers.

“This will be the first time that the pupils have been able to exhibit in this fashion, so the school greatly welcomes support from the local community and looks forward to meeting visitors,” said Louise.
