Burnham’s Hillview Carnival Club receives funding boost from Lions

-

A Burnham-On-Sea carnival club has been given a welcome boost with a £1,000 donation from the town’s Lions club.

Hillview Carnival Club is having to move to a new building this year to construct its float and the money will help fund the changes.

Its Chairman, Mark Bishop, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve been offered a piece of land at the back of Woodberry Brothers and Haines in Highbridge but it doesn’t have a shed for to us to build the cart.”

“This money will really help us towards getting a covered area to do the building work in a weather-proof area. We are very grateful to the Lions for their support.”
