Burnham-On-Sea fundraisers get on their bikes for charity

A group of Burnham-On-Sea fundraisers is in training for a challenge to raise cash for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research.

The group is determined to help find a cure for MND after the death of their friend, local resident Nigel Boley, last November.

Nigel's sister, Maggie Mutton and his nephew, Ian Beacham, are in training for their unique cycling challenge.

Maggie told "On 14th April at 9am we will be setting off on our bikes on a 100km challenge across the Somerset Levels, riding the distance on just the one day."

"We will be accompanied by family members and friends and would be very grateful if any supporters could come to see us off from the park opposite the Burnham Swim and Sports Academy on Berrow Road. We hope to raise a good sum to help find a cure for this terrible disease."

Burnham's MP Tessa Munt has pledged her support to the event and hopes to attend the start on April 14th.

Further details about the event and how to donate to the group are available online here.
