Burnham-On-Sea Moose Lodge’s cash boost for ten local good causes

-

Ten local charities have received donations from Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose International Lodge during the group’s annual presentation night.

Each April, the group hands out money to local organisations following a year’s fundraising, which this year amounted to over £2,000.

Lady President Rita Harris presented £150 donations from the Ladies’ Circle to The Jordan Fund, Retinitus Pigmentosa, the RNLI, Highbridge Festival of The Arts, Burnham-On-Sea Sea Cadets, Friends of The Princess, Friends of Burnham Hospital and Highbridge in Bloom.

And Governor Brian Mudge presented £450 each to Sounds and Voices talking newspaper and Sedgemoor Community Partnership at Morland Community Hall.

Officers for the succeeding year remain as Bryan Mudge (Governor), Mike Lang (Vice Governor) and Greg Fear (Junior Vice-Governor) whilst Rita Harris remains as Lady President of the Ladies Circle for another term.
