Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove Gardens played host to a special performance by a group of Morris Men on Thursday evening (August 15th) – and they will be back in action on Saturday morning.

The Chalice Morris Men performed a display of their traditional music and dancing in the seafront gardens despite the threat of rain.

A small crowd of local residents and visitors turned out to watch the traditional spectacle. This event was supported by Sedgemoor District Council and the Friends of Marine Cove as a summer attraction. The dancers also performed outside the Royal Clarence Hotel during the evening.

A further performance was held on Saturday (17th August) next to Burnham jetty as part of a charity day in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.
