Sergeant takes the helm at Burnham-On-Sea Police Station
new Sergeant has been appointed to take the helm at Burnham-On-Sea
Ash Jones, pictured, has taken over the management of Burnham-On-Sea
and Cheddar Police Stations and the neighbourhood policing teams
comes after Sgt Ian Kennett and Inspector Roger Tolley retired
from their roles at Burnham police station earlier this year.
has been based at Burnham since February this year as the leader
of one of the 24-hour response policing teams which are based
at the station.
to his posting to Burnham, he was the Sergeant in charge of neighbourhood
policing in the Bishopsworth area of South Bristol and he comes
with a wealth of experience in local policing services.
2009, he founded the Senior Citizen Liaison Team (SCLT) to provide
a specially tailored support service to members of the older adult
SCLT went on to great success, becoming a registered charity in
2012 and winning the Prime Ministers Big Society Award in
officer for 16-years, he has served in several departments of
the police, including roles in CID, Operational Planning, Professional
Standards and as a staff officer, he is delighted at his new appointment
in Burnham and Cheddar.
