Avon and Somerset Constabulary is looking to hire more police officers, including from the Burnham-On-Sea area.
The force wants 35 more officers and is encouraging people to apply before the online application procedure closes at 4pm on Friday.
Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said she was delighted by the news. She said: “Policing is a rewarding and challenging job and it is vital that the service reflects the communities it serves.”
