Police called as tool box spill causes punctures at M5 roundabout

-

A Burnham-On-Sea roundabout was partially closed by police on Tuesday morning (January 15th) after several vehicles suffered punctures when a tool box fell from a passing van.

Police were called to the Edithmead M5 motorway roundabout at 8.30am, where they temporarily closed one lane, as pictured.

“A quantity of nuts, bolts and screws was found to have spilt across the roadway after a box fell off a passing vehicle,” police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “This caused several punctures and police cleared the road and made it safe again.”
