Red Arrows to perform high-flying display over Weston and Brean today

The world-famous Red Arrows will take to the skies over Brean today (Saturday) during the annual Weston Air Day.

The event will take place on Saturday June 22nd and is being organised by North Somerset Council and will feature a number of famous aviation names.

The Red Arrows will be flying their familiar diamond formation and the show will also feature aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Falcons parachute team and several aerobatic displays.

While the best place to see the action will be Weston itself, some of the display should be visible from Brean Down, weather permitting.

The timings for today's displays are:

• Pitts Special Aerobatics Display Team, Team Trig - 12pm
• The Dancing Tiger Moth 1930s biplane - 12.30pm
• Gyrocopter - 12.58pm
• The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - 1.20pm
• RAF Falcons Parachute Team - 2pm
• Pitts Special Aerobatics Display Team, Team Trig - 2.40pm
• Gyrocopter - 3.08pm
• RV8Rs aerobatics display team - 3.40pm
• Royal Navy Lynx Helicopter - 4.04pm
• AVRO Vulcan V Bomber - 4.28pm
• RAF advanced turboprop trainer, the tucano - 5pm
• The Red Arrows - 5.30pm
